Komodo is the story of a six-year-old boy who loves dragons more than anything else in the world. Perhaps that’s why, one day, his parents prepare a surprise for him: a trip to the Indonesian island of Komodo, home to real, living dragons — Komodo dragons. Once in Indonesia, however, it’s a little different than the parents imagined. There are throngs of tourists everywhere and a danger that the holiday won’t be the adventure they longed for.
Komodo is a story about the search for truth, the power of imagination and the beauty of the present moment, inspired by Petr Sís’s book of the same name.
The audience can join in during the show if they want to. Komodo is performed up close and you’ll have the opportunity to touch the puppets and help Peter on his journey of adventure during the performance.
