Kittychaosplanet - Exnvrr is an intense performative installation. This environment opens a meditative sound gateway to inner worlds where the real world disappears. Natural and human environments and entities merge with invisible layers of currents, planetary surfaces and hidden messages. The audience will be surrounded by a projected simulation of a 3D environment, accompanied by a live electronic modular musical performance where hardware and software interact in real-time with animation and spatial quadraphonic sound.

The project represents the spaces of the mind and human cognition in the natural structure of civilization. The music is a journey into the inner existence between real and virtual worlds, imaginative locations, memories and the mind’s intuitive site of feeling. Themes include everyday life, the city, relationships, infrastructure, love, politics, borders and much more. Personal experience provides a focal point in the perception of the world through the individual’s complex vision. The overall representation of our surroundings is conditioned by the creation of an emotional space where human and natural actors shape variable micro and macro worlds in interconnected structures.

This performance is a developmental stage of a long-term project combining modular music programming with the genres of interactive audiovisual performance, live cinema and sound performance. It is presented as an audiovisual performative installation using quadraphonic PA and multi-video projection.

The development of the last phase of Kittychaosplanet - Exnvrr was supported by the International Visegrad Art Fund as part of the Sound Arts residency at the A4 Theatre in Bratislava in 2022.

Audience: Adult, Children 15+

Presenting a variable and evolving form of performance since 2015, KittyChaosPlanet symbolises the journey of an imaginary kitten thrown out onto the street, wandering through a sometimes murky world and continuing through a large tangle of life experiences to return to the structures common to us all. The project is linked to change, cognition and destiny. The resulting artworks are abstract and complex paintings where it is difficult to definitively isolate anything. They contain multitudes, like the initial paintings of the past.

As a media artist, Jakub Krejčí specialises in spatial sound and image. He creates immersive and performative installations through modular and coded music systems. His work explores the boundaries of the virtual and human worlds. He has a strong passion for music and incorporates this element into his artwork, creating a multi-sensory experience.

The theatre then provides a space for a more personal level, by transcending the visual and musical arts and offering a more structured expression. In this setting, the media are digital 3D technologies, physical musical instruments, projection surfaces, sound fields and light, as well as human actors.
