Minister of Culture Zaorálek has awarded Luděk Vele the Artis Bohemiae Amicis medal

The emeritus soloist of the National Theatre Opera Luděk Vele received the Artis Bohamiae Amicis medal from the Minister of Culture Lubomír Zaorálek. Vele has spread the good credit of the Czech Republic.

Luděk Vele was associated with the National Theatre opera for 35 years, from 1983 to 2018. He played dozens of roles; he received the Thalia Awards in 1995 and 1996 for Smetana’s Chrudoš and Strauss’s Baron Ochs. Luděk Vele was a guest in international theatres and was a popular concert singer. He was associated with radio and television and he also shot a lot of films for Czech and international music labels.

He was nominated for Artis Bohemiae Amicis by the director of the National Theatre Jan Burian.

As an organizer of fundraisers, Luděk Vele has also contributed to rescuing and aggrandizement of the Grabštejn castle and has enriched the cultural offer in the Liberec region.
