Actor, director, musician
The co-founder of the iconic independent company Cakes and Puppets (1991), whose style is often characterized as “puppet punk”, especially when speaking about plays for the adults. He has recently focused on music productions in cooperation with Collegium Marianum (Acis and Galatea, Calisto) aiming at authentic interpretation.
He graduated from acting at the Puppet Department of DAMU (now the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre). He is a director in Cakes and Puppets company, for which he also composes music, as well as in other puppet theatres (Lampion Theatre, Kladno).
In 1999, he received the award for the author’s contribution in the production of Three Little Pigs (Cakes and Puppets), and the prize for the music and acoustic concept of The Elf at Mateřinka 2015.
